I am an Associate Professor at the University of Oradea, Faculty of Economic Sciences, Department of International Business, with over 25 years of didactic and research experience in higher economic education. For details about my qualifications and work experience please see my CV.

As a specialist in ESP (English for Specific Purposes) and in Business English Communication, I teach Business English and related disciplines. My competences are proven by a vast research in the domain, materialized in ten books with ISBN and several studies, about 30 of which published in journals indexed in international databases, as it can be consulted in my list of publications.

I am also the founder and Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Languages for Specific Purposes (JLSP), a journal set up in 2013-2014 and currently indexed in more than 15 international databases and catalogues.

Since 2015, I have been in charge with coordinating distance learning education at the level of our faculty, organizing the educational process of 5 study programs.

Besides the 2 Bachelor Degrees, 3 Master degrees and 1 Doctoral Degree, I got involved in, attended and graduated from a great variety of courses, workshops, programs and projects, for continuous development in my professional as well as personal life.

I attended a series of professional training courses and participated in several projects as a beneficiary or an expert. Between 2005 and 2015 I attended over 15 professional courses and webinars on teaching and evaluating (LCCI, TELC, Cambridge) organized by institutions such as British Council Bucharest, University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations.

I gained  competences in e-learning attending several courses in distance learning management and in using a Moodle platform, in 2004, 2008, 2011 and 2021. The most recent 7 courses, from 2021, were organized by the highest institution in the field at country level, ARACIS (the Romanian association for assuring quality in higher education), and by an organization accredited for instruction in the use of a distance learning platform, eLearning Software – Moodle Partner for Romania.

Among other courses graduated: The management of research projects within the programme CEEX – MII (in 2006) or the Modules Leadership and the Conservative Organizational Entrepreneur and Campaign Simulation and Crisis Administration organised by the International Leadership Training School (in 2013).

My experience in projects is proven by my participation in various international projects (Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci, Phare), visits of foreign higher education institutions with teaching or training agreements (within Erasmus projects), a national project in partnership with an NGO, and an international project financed by a government institution – the Romanian Cultural Institute.
